Calmthy Farm Terms of Use

These terms govern how the content of this independent journalistic publication about quiet rural life may be read, cited, and shared. By browsing the site, you accept the following.

What we offer and what we do not

Calmthy Farm publishes articles, field profiles, seasonal guides, reader letters, and a calendar of rural fairs in the region. The content is informational and journalistic in nature. We do not sell products, we do not manage bookings for workshops or farm visits, and we do not provide agronomic, veterinary, medical, or financial advice. If an article mentions a gardening technique, a chicken coop routine, or a preserve, it is an editorial description: each person decides how to apply it on their own land and with their own resources.

Use of content and intellectual property

The texts, headlines, guides, and graphic materials on the site belong to Calmthy Farm or are published with authorization. You may read, print, and share links freely. To reproduce a full article in another outlet, newsletter, or workshop material, request prior authorization by writing to info@calmthyfarm.com Brief excerpts may be quoted provided the article title and the publication name are indicated. It is not permitted to alter the meaning of a text, remove authorship, or present our material as your own.

Reader letters and community contributions

The letters section receives messages from people interested in country life. By submitting a text, you confirm that it is yours, that it does not copy third-party material, and that it does not include other people's personal data without their consent. We reserve the right to edit for length, clarity, or tone, and to not publish a message when it is offensive, commercial, or unrelated to the magazine's subject. The publication of a letter does not imply that we share every opinion expressed in it.

Weekly newsletter

The newsletter brings together the schedule of workshops and guided visits to nearby farms, along with the week's notes. It is sent to those who subscribe voluntarily. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link included with each mailing. We do not share email addresses with third parties or use them for purposes other than the newsletter. If you stop receiving it, write to us at info@calmthyfarm.com and we will look into it.

Limits of liability

The information is published with care, but the countryside changes: the weather, the soil, the availability of materials, and the conditions of each region are different. We do not guarantee results for planting, harvesting, animal raising, composting, or food preservation. Nor are we responsible for decisions made based on a note, or for damages resulting from the use of tools, structures, or procedures mentioned. Outdoor activities and handling animals involve risks that each person assesses on their own.

External links and third-party content

Some notes may link to fair, producer, or institution websites. We do not control that content or its policies, and we are not responsible for what they publish or for the services they offer. Mentioning a venue, a workshop, or a fair is for informational purposes and does not constitute a recommendation or a commercial agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the site's operation changes, sections are added, or contact methods are modified. The current version is the one published on this page. If the changes are significant, we will announce them in the newsletter. Using the site after an update means you accept the new version.
