At Calmthy Farm we do not publish figures or results we cannot support with a visit to the field. When a note talks about autumn sowing, composting, or seasonal preserves, we indicate where the information comes from: direct observation, the producer's voice, or repeated practice in the garden. If a fact changes, it is corrected and clarified for the reader.
Every field profile starts from a specific visit. We note who opened the gate, in what area they work, and what they showed us that day. When the producer prefers not to appear by name, we say so and explain why the note still holds up. We do not invent names or attribute quotes no one said.
The magazine does not promise yields, does not guarantee harvests, and does not turn a one-off experience into a general rule. A bed that worked well in a Buenos Aires backyard may behave differently in another soil. We prefer to say "in this case" rather than build a formula that later does not hold up.
The photos that accompany the drip irrigation guides, the homemade greenhouse, or the field profiles are illustrations of the topic. We do not present them as evidence of a result or as a record of a specific visit. When an image does correspond to a particular article, we make that clear in the caption.
If a fact in a previous article becomes outdated, we correct it in the body of the text and leave a line indicating what changed. We do not erase the error silently: the garden teaches that things get adjusted, and field journalism does too.
We do not publish sponsored content disguised as an article. If at any point a brand collaborates with a workshop or a fair, it is clearly indicated at the beginning. The letters to the editor section is published as it arrives, with minimal style editing and without rewriting the opinion of the person writing.
This standard applies equally to the seasonal guides, the field profiles, and the garden cooking recipes. If we could not verify something, we say so.
